WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. A random extra substat is also increased with each upgrade.

The more modernized gear generally has a higher trade value, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or very high stat variation (like the eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less valuable for the latter due to the requirement to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item level upgrade will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.

The upgrader is located in all major cities, and is accessible anytime to upgrade your gear. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader every few weeks to keep your equipment up-to-date.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the item upgrade level, however, they are always cheaper than buying new equipment. For instance, upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points while purchasing the same item level upgrade from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase weapons, armor, tools, and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners for a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any tool, weapon, or armor. The button will show the preview of an item's next upgrade level in the event that there are enough materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the item slot, and the current level of the item. For example, weapons will cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with certain upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of the Flightstones or crests used. Crests

This change is designed to allow players to upgrade their equipment to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.

Another significant change is that crests have one usage therefore it's essential to make use of them in a responsible manner.
